About Us

Founded in 1982, Chef Supply was originally geared towards providing commercial foodservice equipment to grocery & convenience stores. However over time we found that there was a larger and quite frankly a more interesting side of the foodservice industry that had begun to explode around the Louisville area, the “Independent Restaurant Entrepreneur.” These customers, coming from a vast array of nationalities and backgrounds began bringing to the table a wide variety of concepts, building spaces and ideas with each requiring specific foodservice equipment. Through the years we have developed a thorough understanding of what our customers need and have molded our company to try and reach all customer requests in an efficient and cost effective manner.


Chef Supply operates out of an over 4,000sq’ facility in downtown Louisville where we maintain showroom packed with all the new cooking & refrigeration equipment along with a wide selection of small wares options. We also have a revolving door of used restaurant equipment that is brought in, checked out by our in-house service technicians and provided for purchase so don’t forget to check in from time to time to see our new “used” inventory!


Stainless Steel is the material of choice for Commercial Kitchens and as tough and beautiful as stainless steel is, it can be a nightmare to work with. Around 2002 we decided that we had had enough and decided to tool up a full service sheet metal shop which can provide custom stainless fabrication along with custom die walls for your custom bar or server stations as well as custom sinks, tables, shelving or exhaust hood canopies to fit any size area that the customer may require. This helped alleviate the issues that were consistently occurring such as broken delivery dates due to long mfg. lead times, manufacturers not being able to fabricate the custom items our customers were demanding.


We now produce upwards of 80% of stainless steel equipment used on our projects in-house and are able to schedule production to fit your time restraints and have the ability to build to your size and specifications all while avoiding freight charges, unforeseen freight damage with the bonus of selling all fabricated merchandise we produce at factory direct pricing. Chef Supply does house service technicians that are experienced in both refrigeration and hot side cooking equipment repairs. Along with an experienced parts department that can help you acquire even some of the most hard to find parts.
